Setting up the Wishlist Notification In Steam Specials

Quick guide to setting up the Steam Wishlist watcher component of Steam Specials.

Open up the steam specials app and select wishlist from the menu option:

A CommunityID is a 17 digit long and unique identifier used to identify a Steam account. To look up your CommunityID, log in to your Steam account and click on Community. The highlighted number, as shown below, is your CommunityID.

Enter this number, or your custom url if you have it set up, and hit "Fetch Wishlist"

If done correctly, a dialogue screen should pop up telling you that your id has been saved.

Then, to start receiving notifications, simply hit the "Start Notifications" button. If a game on your wishlist is on sale you will recieve a notification as shown below.

Please note that currently the notifications will stop if you reboot your phone. If you want to keep recieving them after a restart you will have to come in and shit the "Start Notifications" button again. Your id number should be saved if you have already entered it.

Also please note that the default behaviour of the notifications is to check every 12 hours from the time that you hit the "Start Notifications" button. I try and time it so that it goes off just before I wake up.
